In the strip harvesting procedure, A linear strip of skin is taken from the scalp with numerous hair follicles on it. The hair follicles were dissected from the skin by cutting the skin into tiny pieces with each piece containing 10- 12 hair follicles. This hair graft was then planted into the scalp’s bald area, which could not grow naturally but looked like the hair was glued with gum. In scalp reduction, the bald area of the scalp is just removed, and the edges of the hairy scalp are stretched to close and sutured thus technically reduced the bald scalp. This brought up many complications like unnatural looks, scarring, infections, and hemorrhage.
