Follicular Unit Transplantation:

During this surgery. The surgeon removes a wide strip of scalp from the back of the patient’s head. Healthy hair grafts are then harvested from the removed section. Of the scalp and transplanted to the thin or bald areas.

The drawbacks were,

  • The procedure was very painful.
  • It leaves a large, linear scar that cuts through healthy hair.
  • It requires weeks of recovery time with post-operative precaution measures.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

In Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE. A surgeon extracts hair grafts with a narrow bur tool. This procedure doesn’t have drawbacks like FUT. But,The most successful results require incredible precision from the physician. Who is almost guaranteed to tire and lose concentration,over this time-consuming procedure.

 

ARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration.

• Artas system cannot be used to extract nape, beard, and body hair follicles.
• Larger punches used in the ARTAS system create larger wounds and scars. Healing complications may also occur. Larger punches can also damage adjacent follicles .
